Common questions
First make sure your CarStream unit is powered (the car must be running or recently driven) and that the vehicle is in cellular coverage. The Live tab shows a small "last seen" timestamp at the top — if that says minutes or hours, the unit is offline. Once the engine starts and the unit reconnects, live data resumes automatically.
Plug the unit in, open the CarStream mobile app, go to Devices and tap + Pair New Device. The app will scan over Bluetooth, find your unit, and walk you through linking it to a car. The whole flow takes about a minute and only needs to be done once.
Two things to check: notifications are enabled for CarStream in your phone's system Settings, and you're still signed into the app on that phone. Notifications are tied to a sign-in token, so signing out stops them on that device. If both look right and you still see nothing, email us — sometimes Apple/Google rate-limit a token after extended off-time.
Email flower.moor@gmail.com from the address on your account and ask for deletion or export. We confirm and act within 30 days. Account deletion removes all driving history, trips, and saved rules. (Self-serve deletion in the app is on the roadmap.)
On the sign-in screen tap Forgot password? and follow the email link we send. The link is single-use and expires after a short window — if it doesn't arrive within a couple of minutes, check your spam folder.
The CarStream unit logs GPS while driving, but it can take a few minutes to lock onto satellites after a long stop. Short trips that started before the GPS fix landed will show distance and speeds without a route line. Subsequent trips usually have a full route.
Only people you explicitly share with. From the Garage, open the car and use the Share action to invite by email. Sharees can view live data and trips but can't change settings, pair devices, or create rules. You can revoke access at any time.
